SBI Vacancies include job openings for bank PO (probationary officer), clerks, management trainees and various other job posts. SBI Bank vacancies in 2010 start with the recruitment of probationary officers for which the written exam will be held on 11th April 2010. The bank invites job application from eligible candidates for appointment as probationary officers (rural business), probationary officers (POs) and PO's (RB). Those candidates who are selected for these posts can be posted in any region of India. The candidates are required to register online to apply for these job vacancies. Online registration starts from 1st Feb 2010 and last date for registration is 2nd March 2010.
SBI Vacancy PO
State Bank offers a total vacancy of 4500 seats for probationary officers. The following is the number of vacancies available in different section of the community.
Probationary Officers: SC - 345, ST -372, OBC - 621, General - 1162, Total - 2500
Probationary Officers (Rural business): SC - 300, ST - 150, OBC - 540, General - 1010, Total - 2000

Candidates who are willing to apply for both the vacancies should make single online registration by depositing the fees for only once. A common written exam will be held for both the job posts. The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department of SBI conducts the recruitment of probationary officers and clerical cadre in State Bank of India and its associate banks.
Eligibility Conditions
Candidates applying for SBI PO vacancies must be not below 21 years and above 30 years of age as on 28th Feb 2010. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in XIIth standard or Diploma after Xth standard; a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in graduation. For SC/ST/PWD category, 55% marks in XIIth or Diploma after Xth standard and 50% marks in graduation. The selection procedure includes written exam of 3 hours, group discussion and interview. Candidates who have qualified in the written exam will be called to appear the group discussion and interview.
Interested candidates can go to the nearest branch of SBI and pay the postal charges and prescribed fees to make their application. It is mandatory for the candidates to apply online from www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in.
