SBI Credit Card Reward Points can be obtained when credit card holders of the bank make purchase with their card. State Bank of India is one of the largest providers of credit cards in India and a large number of customers are enjoying the benefits offered by the bank. The bank offers Credit Card Rewards Program that allows potential card holders to accumulate reward points by spending through their credit cards. Cardholders who have accumulated enough points can redeem SBI credit card reward points at various participating merchant establishments to get a wide variety of rewards that include shopping, travel, fee waivers, dining, merchandise, entertainment, financial services and credit card upgrades. However, the reward points cannot be exchanged with cash or credit. In order to make the credit card reward points redemption, the card should not be overdue, blocked, cancelled or suspended by SBI Cards & Payment Services Private Limited. As per the SBI credit card rewards program, cardholders can earn 1 point with every purchase of Rs. 125/- with the card. All kind of spending except balance transfers, cash advances, disputed transactions and purchase at petrol pumps and service station are eligible to earn reward points under the program. It is essential for the customers to know that reward program is open only for SBI Gold Card, Card for Doctors and SBI International Card holders. The program is available only for primary cardholders and reward points earned by additional cardholders will be accrued to the credit card account of the primary holder. It is totally voluntary to participate in the reward program and cardholders can opt to get out of the program by just sending a written or telephonic notice to SBICPSL.
The SBICPSL determines the annual participation fee for cardholders in the reward programs from time to time. To know more on how to use SBI credit card reward points, it is advisable for the cardholders to visit the official website of the bank. Redeemed rewards cannot be exchanged for other rewards and the points are not refundable or transferable to cash or credit. Moreover, the rewards will be subject to availability and several restrictions may also apply.
