Commonwealth Bank hours of operation are the trading hours of the bank's operating branch offices during which the branches carried out its banking activities. These trading hours or hours of work may differ from branch to branch and with the geographical area of the branch locations of the bank. It may also vary with occasions like bank holiday, Christmas, Australia Day, weekends, and sometimes with the situations of the customers. The hours of business for most operating branches of Commonwealth Bank are open from 9:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday and from 9:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays. And these days some Commonwealth Bank branches are open on Saturdays with hours of trading from 9:30am to 1:00pm. However, no operating branch office of Commonwealth Bank is open on Sunday.
Commonwealth Bank branch offices used to extend its trading hours during the month of December up till Christmas, offering greater convenience to its customers for late night shopping.

The bank holds that when busy shopping centre locations are open till late night, the bank should also remain available for the convenience of customers for their various financial needs. During these periods, most operating branches are open till 7:00pm, while others it opens till 5:30pm or 6:00pm on select evenings depending on the trading hours of the shopping centre.
