At present, the Bank offer job openings of 500 probationary officers. Those candidates who are within the age of 21 - 30 years can apply for PO recruitments to be held on 4th July 2010. The job profile of the probationary officers will include general banking, supervisory functions, house keeping and various other works assigned by the bank depending on the need of the hours. Candidates applying for PO recruitments are required to complete their graduation with an aggregate mark of 60%. Online registration for the recruitment exam of POs can be done from 25th March 2010 to 24th April 2010.

On the other hand, Canara Bank offers vacancies of 1000 probationary clerks and potential candidates who are within the age of 18 - 28 years can apply for it. The written test of the clerk recruitment is likely to be held on 18th July 2010. The opening and closing date of online registration are 25th March 2010 to 24th April 2010. Applicants of clerk recruitment must have passed 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks or should have completed the graduation. Reservations for people with disabilities and for SC and ST categories are also offered by the bank.

Application Fees and Postal Charges

For probationary officers, Rs. 300 will be charged as applications fees for general and OBC candidates while SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to pay only Rs.50. In case of clerical recruitment, SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to pay Rs. 50 while other candidates should pay Rs. 200 as application and postage fees.
