Westpac Travel Insurance policy covers single travelers, families and includes holiday and business or frequent travelers. All policies cover both traveling within Australia and overseas. Individuals traveling within or outside of Australia can organize travel insurance with the Westpac Bank before they leave and can enjoy hassle-free trip throughout the journey. Individuals who have any of the Westpac credit cards such as Earth Gold, Earth Platinum, Altitude Gold, Altitude Platinum, 55 day Gold MasterCard or Visa Card and 55 day Platinum Visa Card can access free travel insurance. Those not having any of the above cards can also arrange Westpac travel insurance policies such as travel assistance, overseas medical expenses, luggage, credit card, travellers cheques and 24 hour claim service.
The Westpac travel insurance is issued by Vero Insurance Limited and is arranged by Westpac Banking Corporation, while the complimentary insurance covers are issued by Zurich Australian Insurance Limited.

- Complimentary overseas travel insurance covers for trips upto 3 months.

These cards are linked with only one account with one monthly statement, one annual fee and one credit limit. Both Singapore Airlines Westpac Gold and Platinum cardholders can earn exciting Krisflyer miles per one dollar spent on all eligible purchases.
Westpac Travel Insurance Claim
To claim for travel insurance at Westpac, individuals in Australia can call at 1800 805 458, while those from overseas may call +61 (2) 8987 1625. They can also email at travelclaims@vero.com.au or fax to +61 (2) 8064 9395. Individuals claiming travel insurance have to complete the online form after choosing the relevant claim form and send the completed form attached with relevant documents and information such as medical certificates, doctor and police reports, receipts, invoices, airline, train or bus tickets and luggage tags etc. and send it to the address given on the claim form.
