The Barclays Center is a landmark venue and the arena of sports, arts, entertainment and many other exciting events located at Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn, NY (New York). The center is currently under the process of construction which was supposed to open in 2006, but due to the controversy with the local residents and lack of funding delayed its groundbreaking. In fact the groundbreaking of the project was started on 11th of March, 2010. It will be the home of Brooklyn Nets, a professional basketball team based in Brooklyn.
The center took its present name “Barclays Center” after its sponsors Barclays Bank enters into the financing deals for constructing the center. Besides, the center will create several new jobs and permanent employments once if it has reached the completion date. In addition, it also provides housing facility to the entire community. They also believe that this center will be the first and largest private investments and jobs creator in the history of Brooklyn.
It also has an exclusive showroom in Manhattan which acts as the meeting space for showcasing the venue, plans and model of the Barclays Center Arena and many others. At their showroom, they also provide the live streamed video of the project site which is transmitted through the Live Construction Cam from the Barclays Center.

Barclays Center Construction
The construction of Barclays Center begins in March 2010 over Vanderbilt Yards at Atlantic Avenue of Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) which cover an area of 675,000 square foot. The center is a design from the famous architect firms, Ellerbe Becket and Shop Architects which cost $800 million. A source also quoted that, Thornton Tomasetti also puts up new about the Barclays Center on its website saying the center will have another additional area of 75,000 sq. ft for ice hockey flooring.
