American Express Warranty

American Express Extended Warranty program is a benefit program provided to all eligible cardmembers offering one additional year of warranty when they charge the covered purchases having US manufacturers’ warranty of five years or less to the card. It is an embedded protection benefit available to all the eligible cardmembers when they make purchases and charge the cost to the Amex eligible card. The Warranty Extension coverage is available for all eligible items including electronics and other appliances such as iPAd, computers, camera, laptops, cell phone, iPhone, and TV to list just a few upto the amount charged to the card or upto $10,000 but not to exceed $50,000 per cardmember account per policy year.

American Express Extended Warranty Review

Amex Extended Warranty program is underwritten by Amex Assurance Company Administrative Office, Phoenix, AZ. The entire coverage of the program is determined by terms, conditions, and exclusions of policy AX0953 or Policy EW-IND. It is a benefit program available for all eligible basic cardmembers as well as additional cardmembers on their account when the card has been issued in their name and maintains a permanent residence in the United States. Under the American Express Warranty Extension program, the warranty of every eligible purchased product extends upto one additional year from the original manufacturer’s warranty when cardmembers charge the covered purchases to the eligible cards which include Platinum, Blue, Gold, Blue Cash and any other Amex eligible cards.

American Express provides purchase protection for all accidental damage for all eligible items whether goods are purchased from Apple, Costco or any other brands and stores in the US when cardmembers charge the purchase to the card. However, the Extended Warranty program does not cover or reimburse for any refurbished cost, shipping and handling expenses or any installation, assembly and other service charges.

American Express Warranty Claim

Making a claim for the loss or damage at the claim center is never a problem as one can easily file by just a phone call or online. Claimant can also check the progress of the claim status simultaneously. To avail the Extended Warranty benefit program and to make claims for the loss or any damage, applicants should immediately report the occurrence following the incidents. For this, one can easily file the claim by simply calling the number 1-800-225-3750 and furnish the proof of purchase and necessary claim information with satisfactory proof details that can qualify for benefits under Extended Warranty program. Applicants are request to keep all American Express charge receipts, original store receipts, original manufacturers’ warranties, and products requiring repair in order to give full proof until the claim process is complete.
